The Italian ministry of education has restricted school educational trips in the country and abroad due to the virus for a period of two weeks (24/02/20 – 8/03/20) at least in an effort to contain Europe’s outbreak of coronavirus. In Italy the virus is concentrated in the Lombardy and Veneto regions, but few cases were also reported in Piedmont.
Several airlines moved to cancel flights to Italy. In some European countries governments banned school trips to Italy. Other governments said students returning from northern Italy would have to be quarantined and would not be accepted directly back into schools.
Due to these restrictions and in order to protect your students from the infection we decided to postpone the mobility planned in Torino at the end of March.
We hope in a swift return to normality and in a reschedule of the last mobility as soon as possible.
